Searches are carried out in the database of INPI through prefix, suffix, radical and spelling variations of the expression, as well as through phonetic searches, according to the description of the company’s corporate object and its market segment.

We search national and international databases and make a technical report on the feasibility and previous applications found.

In possession of the information regarding the search for previous applications and the report on the feasibility of applying for the Registration of a Trademark or Patent, such application may be proceeded and filed at INPI.

Once the application is filed, it will be registered in our control database of applications and it will be followed up and monitored. Such control will allow informing clients about the evolution and orders published in the Industrial Property Journal, regarding your applications or those from counterfeiters, that is, those who are copying yours, even partially.

In addition to monitoring the applications of our clients, we offer market monitoring services of Trademarks and Patents of third companies which may interest you, and published on a weekly basis.

Application processes are currently time-consuming at INPI and usually long around three years until its APPROVAL. Patent applications usually take from 6 to 7 years. For this reason, we carefully take all necessary measures to guarantee the application process to be SUCCESSFUL and the patent to be granted as soon as possible. That’s our goal.
